Humans always look up into the Cosmos in revery. Yet, Cosmos is monochromatic- all black and white; while the Earth, under their feet, is full of the most vibrant endless color combinations.
Sunset came up first in my mind. We are looking up in dreams, but don’t notice the dream we are living in reality.
I used an abstracted shapes of folded silk scarves (in colors of sunset) flying up and coloring the cosmos. Silk - because it holds the pigment in most intense strength. Folded - to add a bit of mystery what is inside. There are tiny speckles of gold foil in them - these are the human souls or thoughts or hopes sent up
