Poetry
WE are all connected by our shared humanity...
In the chaos we find ourselves...
Empathy is the bridge between souls...
(Alexander Blok)
POWER OF LIGHT
Power of Light emanating from Souls
Nurturing life and uniting us all
Into a chorus of billion vibrations-
Each is unique and deserves validation.
Light is the weaver of all living colors,
Spun into fibers of Love as no other.
BARNACLE
Barnacle lives in the shallows of water
Floating in dreaming of tidal waves
Feeding himself on suspended matter
Lazily sucking whatever he craves.
Lazy, lethargic and utterly passive
A weary existence without a strain,
No self-locomotion, promotion, emotion,
Just passing his limited lifestyle in vain.
Yet, hoping to gain parasitic existence -
By attaching himself to the tail of a whale,
Seeing new worlds with this mammal assistence,
Rushing through oceans’ Neptunian dales.
Or! Maybe attaching himself to the ship?!
Big, powerful, shiny and manmade machine
To fully feel glory of glamorous trip
By gluing himself to the surface so clean.
Barnacle feels as becoming a ship
In all of its parts, engineering and glory;
But the ship thinks of him as a fouling heap -
An idle who feeds on ship’s traveling stories.
Barnacles travel by means of attaching
To powerful ones exuding the force.
Barnacles dream of catching and latching
To others by dragging and slowing their course.
SQUARE
My feet are stuck in a square of cement
In the middle of field with no flowers.
I cant’t move, I can’t sit,
I just stand, and I stand
Awaiting the Savior’s powers
To remove me from here
And to make this a dream
Of a feverish mind in frustration,
To transport me again to a beautiful land
Of familiar life for duration.
To the people once loved,
To old rooms of decay,
To the smells and the sounds
That time couldn’t betray,
To my self years ago,
Not allowing me go
To the point of reconciliation.
THE WAVE
Behind the curtain of a blue wave
Stands Queen of Seas in front of nave
Of bluish dunes ornate with corals,
And school of fish performing chorales.
She rules realm of peace and beauty
Yet, she will drown all thieves with booty.
Don’t get her mad or face rebuttal
Of tidal waves immense and brutal.
She is cold but fair
To those who fear her
She’ll bestow gifts
On those she cares for.
She blessed me once
With a solemn promise
Of safety pass
Through her belongings.
WORDS OF LOVE
They tell you many words of Love
All flying free and well-intended.
But, when your life is getting tough
With fears and pains and doubts descending,
They never come to pick you up,
Just let you crawl in Love pretending.
THE WEB
Spider web is strong but lacey,
Unforeseen and not too messy
Catching trusting happy souls,
Counting daily winning tolls.
Luring beauty, gentle image-
Trap's perfected ancient lineage.
Sticky fibers glue you on
For the spider's luncheon.
Feeding part is half enjoyment-
Watching torture makes it poignant.
Charming, scaring, toxicating
Sucking life in gulps and waiting
For last breath and glint in eyes
Just before the Paradise.
LUCKY
He floated through on wings of Lady Luck.
He charmed his way to feed on people’s love.
He kissed today, but would ignore tomorrow
To overstep you crawling in your sorrow.
He calculates, manipulates, evaluates his uses
Not ever counting his unseen abuses,
Until one morning Messenger arrives
And drops him parcel - ‘Summary of Life’.
