This work deals with migrations of people, with triumphs and challenges of survival and coexistence, with territorial claims and their price in human lives.
The collage is based on history of notable authentic maps of Palestine (contemporary Israel territory) from 150 AD to 1880 by geographers from different parts of the world:
23 say ‘Palestine’, 9 give no name, 6 say ‘Holy Land’, 1 says ‘Galilee’, 1 says ‘Promised Land’, 1 says ‘The Land of Canaans’, 1 says ‘Dead Sea and river Jordan’.
Below is given the death toll for Palestinian and Israeli sides in major conflicts only starting in 1920 and escalating to our time.
